Privacy Policy

How CIREN collects, uses, and protects information from patients, families, and visitors to this website.

This policy describes the practices of the Centro Internacional de Restauración Neurológica (CIREN), Havana, Cuba, regarding information collected through this website and through international patient inquiries.

1. Information We Collect

We collect two categories of information:

  • Non-personal browsing data: anonymous analytics such as pages visited, approximate geographic region, device type, and language preference, used to improve the website.
  • Personal information from inquiries: when you submit an international patient inquiry, we collect your name, email address, phone number, country, neurological condition, your message, and any medical records you choose to upload.

2. How We Use Your Information

Personal information submitted through the inquiry form is used solely to:

  • Review your case and determine whether CIREN's services are clinically appropriate.
  • Communicate with you regarding evaluation, treatment options, and coordination.
  • Provide visa support letters and travel coordination assistance where requested.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Medical Records

Medical records you upload are stored privately and are accessible only to authorized CIREN clinical and coordination staff involved in reviewing your case. Uploaded files are used exclusively for clinical evaluation purposes.

We recommend you share only the records relevant to your neurological condition. Original documents should be brought with you to any in-person evaluation.

4. Data Retention

Inquiry records and uploaded medical files are retained for the period necessary to complete clinical review and any subsequent treatment coordination, and thereafter in accordance with applicable Cuban data protection and medical record retention requirements.

5. Cookies and Analytics

This website may use cookies and anonymous analytics to understand how visitors use the site and to improve content. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to submit an inquiry.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have submitted by contacting the International Patient Coordination Desk. We will respond in accordance with applicable regulations.

7. Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are in place to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
